2021 RPCC Winter Carnival update

Roblin Park Community Centre is excited to host our 72nd annual Winter Carnival, January 18-24, 2021.

Traditionally, hundreds of families have come from all over the city to join in on the fun, food and community spirit. As you may have guessed, the 2021 version of Carnival is going to be different. Due to the pandemic, we anticipate we are not going to be able to host many of our most popular events, but our Carnival committee is working hard to do what we can within the guidelines currently set our by Manitoba Health.

With the unknowns around what winter 2021 will bring, we have decided, should we be able to move ahead with this year's event, to invest in making our outdoor Winter Wonderland even better. Along with the recent addition of new rink boards on all three rinks, we are planning to invest in wind barriers, fire pits, seating, heating, lighting and more to enhance the outdoor experience during carnival and hopefully all winter long. This investment will come with a price, but we want to do all we can to make this year’s event a unique experience.

Hockey Tournament

At this point, we do plan to move forward with our annual house league hockey tournament. We will be taking pre-registration in November so teams can plan for their season. We do not know how many teams we will be able to accommodate this year, but it will be less than previous years. Contact our committee for more info.

Indoor Events

We anticipate than many of our indoor events will be cancelled for the 2021 Carnival. This includes, our mascots vs. Raiders game, Magic show, Bingo Night, Pancake Breakfast, Family Fun Day, and Saturday Night Social. We are planning to enhance our outdoor activities this year.

Sponsorship Opportunities

We have a number of sponsorship opportunities still available this year. Download our sponsor letter here.
